"The Come Back" Book Release Celebration!

Friday was the book release concert for my new pocket-size book of haiku, “The Come Back” at FitzGerald's Sidebar

Obviously, it required new tights.

In an out-of-the-blue switcheroo, the weather necessitated a rapid change in artistic personnel, as the Madison-based Mary Gaines and Chris WAgoner wisely heeded the advice of the National Weather Service and stayed home.

With 48-hours notice, this band of ringers was assembled: Rusty Dust, Dan Leali and Patrick Williams! They joined the already herculean Robin Bienemann, Jodi Pulick Walker and Ron Lazzeretti. So the songs were in good hands.

But still. The weather? WHO KNEW what would happen next?

Well, as I've always said: the audience is the final collaborator. And they SHOWED UP!

In sub zero weather, from all across the region, fans, fellow songwriters, co-writers, friends from all over braved the cold to be in the room. And that's just who was there in person! Whether you were there in spirit or in person, we felt you with us.

In case you're saying, "I gotta get more songs inspired by haiku into my life..." the celebration continues!!

Join us at the The Venue on Saturday, February 7 for the Haiku Milieu celebration of "The Come Back," featuring Naomi Ashley & Jon Williams, Annie Bacon, Jason D.
